SMART SOLUTIONS has promoted experienced recruitment expert Ieuan Rosser to the role of managing director of its recruitment division.
Based at the firm’s Newport headquarters, Mr Rosser will be responsible for driving Smart Solutions’ commercial strategy and overseeing the company’s six South Wales-based service centres.
He joined Smart Solutions as general manager for Wales in January 2007 before becoming director of recruitment operations in April 2011. Having been with the company since its inception, he has a strong understanding of the business’ commercial strategy and extensive knowledge of the recruitment sector in Wales and across the UK.
During his time at Smart Solutions, Mr Rosser has driven the expansion of the recruitment division by identifying new opportunities and co-ordinating the integration of six new service centres to the Smart Solutions network.
He was also responsible for establishing Smart Solutions’ innovative apprentice scheme for aspiring recruiters, which has seen seven consultants given the opportunity to learn their trade with Wales’ fastest-growing recruitment company.
Nathan Bowles, CEO of Smart Solutions said: “Smart Solutions has experienced rapid growth and development in recent years and Ieuan has played an instrumental role in driving the success of the recruitment arm of the business.
“Having started his career as a trainee with a multinational recruitment firm, Ieuan has worked his way up through the industry, developing a comprehensive skill-set in the process and gaining extensive experience of working with clients and candidates from a range of sectors.”
Mr Rosser said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Smart Solutions and I am excited by the prospects for future expansion of the business. Since forming in 2007, Smart Solutions has grown to become a key player in the UK recruitment industry and we are committed to maintaining this progress by exploring new opportunities and expanding our network of service centres into new markets.”
Before joining Smart Solutions, Mr Rosser spent five years working in senior positions at international recruitment consultancy, Randstad, before moving to local firm, Abacus, as manager of its Cardiff branch in 2005.
Since being named Wales’ fastest growing company in 2010, Smart Solutions has continued its growth strategy and recently opened its newest service centre in Swansea. The company now has 15 offices throughout the UK and is continuing its expansion in Wales, England and Scotland.
